Services
Amistad serves the local
community in a number of ways:
- Fulfills the needs of the people in the
local community.
-
Initiates long term relationships.
- Builds trust.
- Instills hope for the future.
Some specific ways in which the
local community is served are:
- Conducting business seminars that
instill Biblical values and servant leadership into the
hearts of the countries leadership. Leaders attending
these seminars then become more involved in the needs of
the community and bring positive change to the local
community and the country.
- Planting churches which are led by
local Christians that minister to and serve the local
community.
- Working with local ministry leaders
to serve the needs of the local community and provide ways
to reach out to others in the community.
- Introducing local ministry leaders
to interested people or churches that can expand the
outreach through their own resources which allows them to
serve more people.
- Financial support providing for
monetary needs as required. Each financial request is
carefully reviewed before being disbursed.
- Working with local artisans and
small business people to help them market their product and
develop their business. Profits from these businesses
would then go back into the local community to improve the
quality of life for those involved and their
families.
- Developing job training programs
that will allow members of the local community to learn job
skills, which are not now available.
This service to the community has an
economic impact and improves the quality of life for the people
involved. These are long-term solutions and encourage the
community to become self-reliant. Some of these things
simply provide hope, which in the long term will help to
sustain the community.
